Berto Pisano

Umberto "Berto" Pisano (born October 13, 1928 in Cagliari , Sardinia , † January 29, 2002 in Rome ), also known as Burt Rexon , was an Italian composer and conductor .

Life

Like his brother Franco Pisano , he began his musical career as a jazz musician . He also made a name for himself as a film composer from the 1960s , for example for the thriller Interrabang from 1969. After several recordings for various record companies, always based on film soundtracks, the single A Blue Shadow was released in 1974 from the soundtrack of the four-part television play Ho incontrato un ' ombra at Ricordi . Although the rest of the film music came from Romolo Grano, Pisano had been hired for the title melody. Unexpectedly, the single hit the top of the Italian charts and stayed there for six weeks. The album of the same name, on which Pisano collected other film songs, also hit the charts.
