Best of Landser is a compilation album by the German right-wing rock band Landser . It was released in 2001 on the US label SPAA Records and has been indexed since September 2005 .

At the beginning of October 2000 Michael Regener met Anthony Pi, a US citizen who was visiting Germany and who owned a label in Saint Paul (Minnesota) that produced right-wing extremist music and distributed it worldwide via the Internet. They discussed how to sell the Landser CDs in the USA. Pi. However, had concerns about various titles with anti-Polish content on the CDs, since US American and Canadian citizens of Polish origin were among its customers in significant numbers. Both therefore agreed to produce a CD entitled Best of Landser with a compilation of songs suitable for the market in the USA from the CDs of the Landser group that had been released in the past and to distribute it worldwide via the Internet.
After consultation with Christian W. and André M., Regener made a selection of the titles, developed ideas for the design of the cover and textiles with advertising imprints and agreed with Pi. The fee to be paid by Pi. Based on the materials he had received, Pi. Then produced the CD with a total of 21 songs.
To the annoyance of the band members, Pi. Deviated from Regener's specifications when designing the cover and making the textiles. The CD was completed at the end of March / beginning of April 2001 and distributed via the Internet worldwide, including in Germany, by post. From June 2001, Regener received several letters from Pi. By post with cash as a fee, a total of at least DM 2,100. This money was among the Landser band members in their final compilation before the later indictment and dissolution, i.e. Michael Regener, Christian W. and André M., evenly distributed.

The best-of album contains songs from the demo and the band's first two studio albums. Six songs are taken from the demo Das Reich comes again ( Walvater Wotan , Arische Kämmer , Berlin remains German , Nordland , Das Reich comes again , ZAst song ). The plays Landser , Mord in Ahrensbök , Ian Stuart , KPS , Xenophobia , Republik der Trolche and Koma-Kolonne are included on the debut album Republik der Trolche . Also seven tracks come from the second studio album Deutsche Wut - Rock gegen Oben ( Freiheit , Sturmführer , Retribution , Sold + betrayed , In the mountains of Rwanda , Deutsche Wut , Rebell ). The third and final studio album Ran an den Feind does not contain any titles. Only the last song Arisches Kind does not come from any album of the band.
Musically, most of the songs belong to the hard rock genre. Only the pieces Nordland , Ian Stuart , Rebell and Arisches Kind are quieter ballads . Thematically, the songs are mostly dedicated to typical right-wing extremist topics. This includes, above all, the rejection of ethnic groups who are perceived as inferior and those who think differently, such as Jews , blacks , East Asians , Turks and so-called ticks . Among other things, these groups of people are subjected to derogatory statements, the use of force against them is called for, or their deportation is requested. The ballad Aryan Child is about the idealization of the "Aryan race " and describes other ethnic groups as " subhumans ".
In the court ruling on the band's ban, eleven of the 21 songs were viewed as relevant under criminal law: Walvater Wotan , Aryan fighters , Berlin remains German , Das Reich comes again , ZAst-Song , Landser , Xenophobia , Republic of the Tramp , Freedom , Storm Leader and In the Mountains from Rwanda .
