Michael Regener

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Michael Regener (born May 10, 1965 in East Berlin ) is the former singer of the neo-Nazi music group Landser . This band was classified as a criminal organization by the Federal Court of Justice due to the way the CD was distributed in combination with inciting content . He is known under the pseudonym Lunikoff (derived from a GDR vodka brand). He is now the singer of the band The Lunikoff Conspiracy . He is a founding member of the Vandals - Ariogermanic Combat Community .

history

In 2001 Regener was arrested as a singer and songwriter by Landser for forming a criminal organization . In the subsequent trial before the Berlin Regional Court he was next to the bassist André M. and drummer Christian W. to the main accused . On December 22, 2003 he was sentenced to three years and four months imprisonment because the higher court classified the band as a criminal organization. In addition, he was found guilty of incitement to hatred in two cases, disseminating propaganda by unconstitutional organizations and "publicly calling for crimes, approving crimes , denigrating the state and its symbols and insulting confessions in one case each". The conviction earned him a kind of martyr status in the neo-Nazi scene, which caused the black market prices for his CDs to skyrocket.

Regener went on appeal after the verdict of the Chamber Court and therefore remained at large until the appeal proceedings before the Federal Court of Justice were concluded . On March 10, 2005, however, the Federal Court of Justice essentially upheld the judgment against him. However, he acquitted Regener of the charge of public incitement to criminal offenses. However, this did not change anything about the sentencing of the higher court. Less the pre- trial detention of six months that he had served in the Stuttgart-Stammheim prison , his remaining sentence was two years and ten months, which he served in the Berlin-Tegel prison from April 11, 2005 .

The trial before the Berlin Court of Appeal also meant the final end of the Landser band. André M. and Christian W. made extensive statements during their interrogation to the police in order to avoid imprisonment. This resulted in the break between the band members.

During the trial, Regener formed a new band called The Lunikoff Conspiracy . The lyrics of the debut album, The Return of the Incomprehensible , which was completed before the verdict was announced, were checked for criminal relevance by several lawyers prior to publication. The Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People (BPjM) put the CD on the index in November 2004 because of content harmful to young people , but released it again in January 2005 due to a formal error.

Concerts of the Lunikoff conspiracy often took place in a conspiratorial setting. At a concert on June 5, 2004 together with the neo-Nazi music group Spreegeschwader , the police intervened with a special task force , but were unable to achieve anything apart from a few reports (two reports for wearing anti-constitutional symbols, one for insulting and another for violating environmental protection) . The SEK only stepped in when both bands had already finished their performances.

Before Regener had to begin his remaining sentence of 2 years and 10 months on April 11, 2005, he gave his farewell concert in Pößneck , Thuringia , at an event for the state party conference of the NPD .

On October 21, 2006 a demonstration under the patronage of the NPD took place in Berlin under the motto “Freedom for Lunikoff - Let our comrades out” to campaign for Michael Regener's release from prison. The demonstration, led by party chairman Udo Voigt, also stopped in front of the Tegel prison. The demonstration was approved by the court, and there was a counter-demonstration by the Antifa , which had called for disruptive action. However, there were no incidents worth mentioning during the course.

At the beginning of 2007, Regener tried to obtain his parole release after having already served two-thirds of the sentence. The Penal Execution Chamber of the Landgericht Berlin agreed to parole and the suspension of the remainder of the sentence on probation on January 4 of 2007. The Federal Prosecutor's office thereupon lodged an immediate complaint with the Berlin Superior Court. On March 19, 2007, the Court of Appeal overturned the District Court's decision. Michael Regener has been at large again since February 27, 2008.

On June 17, 2009, his leadership requirements were reinforced. He must notify the police of every concert with the date and exact location and grant police officers access to the event at all times. This made concerts by his group The Lunikoff Conspiracy increasingly unattractive, as extensive personal controls or the cancellation or dissolution of the event can be initiated in advance. Recent appearances include u. a. participation in the Saxon Day of the Young National Democrats on June 8, 2013.

In October 2013 Regener performed in Munich in a neo-Nazi shared apartment.
