Frenemies tells the story of three very different groups of friends who grapple with the ups and downs of friendship. Avalon, Halley, Savannah or Jake appear in leading or supporting roles in all stories.
- Story 1
Jake Logan and his dog Murray are inseparable friends. When Jack introduces his dog to his new science partner and crush, Julianne, the dog is not enthusiastic about the girl. This is mutual. So Julianne tries everything to get rid of the dog and to win Jake for her project so that she gets the grade 1. That's why she claims that if Jake does the project, Jake will become her new boyfriend. She steals Jake's NASA certificate and flushes it down the toilet. Jake thinks it was his dog Murray and he chases him to hell. The dog runs away and is picked up by Savannah. The next day, Jake begins to fear that Murray might not return and manages to finish Julianne's science project. He tries to impress Julianne and dresses better for school, but is gutted by Avalon and Halley. Julianne isn't impressed either, when Jake realizes that she was only playing with him. Savannah takes advantage of this opportunity and shows Jake Julianne's real face: that Savannah fell in love with Jake. In the end, Jake and his dog Murray make up.

Avalon Greene and Halley Brandon have always been best friends and the most popular girls in school. When her blog Geekly Chic is due to appear in a magazine, their friendship is put to the test. Because the magazine only wants to keep one of the two as a senior editor. A fight for the job broke out among the friends, because each believed she was the best for the job. Avalon and Halley both want to interview the singer Jean-Frank and keep getting in each other's way. In the end, they realize that friendship is more important than the position of managing editor and decide to split the article.

The third story is about Savannah and Emma who trade the places to see what their lives are like. Savannah is a laid-back girl who loves skateboarding and lives with her father and three brothers. Meanwhile, Emma is a British girl who goes to private school and wants nothing more than to be a normal girl. When Savannah and Emma face each other in the mall, they decide to swap places for a week to see how the other lives. After a while, they both realize that neither of them likes the new life, so they decide to switch back roles. During her time as Emma, Savannah broke up with Emma's boyfriend Lance. The two girls become friends and in the end everyone (Avalon, Halley, Jake, Julianne) is at Emma's (at this point still Savannah) birthday party.
