Nicholas John "Nick" Robinson (born March 22, 1995 in Seattle , Washington ) is an American actor .

life and career

Nick Robinson was born in 1995 in Seattle, Washington, and grew up there with his mother and five siblings. At the age of nine, his parents enrolled him in a local children's theater group. At eleven he made his professional acting debut on a theater stage. In 2008, friends suggested him to an acting agent. He was impressed by Robinson's talent, which is why the family moved to Los Angeles . However, due to the 2007/2008 writers' strike , the family had to return to Washington.

2009 Robinson tried again and received after a failed audition twice the lead role of Ryder Scanlon in the ABC Family - sitcom Melissa & Joey , which will be broadcast on the station since of 2010. With this role he became known to a larger audience for the first time. In 2012 he starred alongside Zendaya in the Disney Channel original movie Beste FReinde and in the television series Boardwalk Empire . In 2013 he played the lead role of Joe Toy in the independent film The Kings of Summer .

In 2015 he took on the role of Zach in the fourth part of the Jurassic Park series of films, Jurassic World . In the film adaptation of Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda (Eng. Just three words ) by Becky Albertalli with the title Love, Simon he took on the leading role of Simon Spier. It's the first film by a major Hollywood studio to focus on teenage gay romance.
