Betül Cemre Yıldız Kadıoğlu (born May 16, 1989 as Betül Cemre Yıldız in Izmir ) is a Turkish chess player .

Life

She learned to play chess at the age of nine. She made her debut in the women's national team at the 2000 Chess Olympiad . She won the Turkish Women's Championship for the first time in 2002 and repeated this success in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011. She won bronze medals at the U18 World Youth Championship for girls in 2007 and the U20 World Junior Championship in 2009.

In February 2015 she is the second best Turkish player after Ekaterina Atalık .

In addition to her chess career, she completed a law degree at the Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi . She has been trained by Adrian Mihalčišin since 2006 .

In 2004 Betül Cemre Yıldız was named International Women's Champion (WIM) because of her results at the European Women's Individual Championship. She has held the title of Women's Grandmaster (WGM) since 2012, and she met the required standards at the 2009 Women's Junior World Championships and at two tournaments in Lviv in 2011 .

National team

With the Turkish women's team, Yıldız took part in the Chess Olympiads in 2000, 2002 , 2004 , 2008 , 2010 , 2012 and 2014 . In 2012 she achieved the third best result on the second board. She also took part with Turkey in the 2011 and 2013 Women's World Team Championships and the Women's European Team Championships in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2011 , 2013 and 2015.

In Turkey Betül Cemre Yıldız played for Marmarisspor SK , with which she took part in the European Club Cup 2005 in the open class, for the Türk Hava Yolları SK , with which she took part in the European Club Cup women in 2007, and for the Adana Anatolia SK , which she represented at the 2011 European Women's Club Cup. In the German women's league she played for SC Bad Königshofen in the 2012/13 season .
