The company health insurance fund Hoesch ( BKK Hoesch ) was an open company health insurance fund based in Dortmund .
The BKK had its origins in the companies Hoesch AG and Falke (company) .
It was open in the federal states of Baden-Württemberg , Bavaria , Berlin , Bremen , Hamburg , Hesse , Lower Saxony , North Rhine-Westphalia , Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt .
On October 1st, 2012, the BKK Hoesch merged with the local BKK . While the local BKK will keep its name after this merger, the name BKK Hoesch will disappear completely after 150 years.

Contribution rates
Since January 1, 2009 the contribution rates have been standardized by the legislator. From January 1, 2011 until the termination, a monthly additional contribution of 15.00 euros was levied.
history
Shortly after the company was founded, Leopold Hoesch set up a "Factory Health Insurance Fund of the Hoesch Iron and Steel Works", this was in 1874. On January 1, 2009, BKK Hoesch merged with BKK Falke. After collecting the additional contribution, the fund lost almost 30,000 insured persons; it currently has 65,000 insured persons.
