Bettina Tita
Bettina Tita (born April 27, 1980 in Timișoara , Romania ) is a multimedia artist of Romanian origin. Their actions and performances became known in parts of Germany, among other things through viral interaction art on the Internet. Bettina Tita lives in Nuremberg.
life and work
Bettina Tita's father was an engineer and teacher of mathematics and physics, her mother a linguist. In the course of the Romanian Revolution in 1989 , she emigrated with her family to Germany, where she attended the Hardenberg High School in Fürth until 1994 . After her classical training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg from 2002-2007 under Ottmar Hörl as well as study trips to the People's Republic of China and Romania, Tita was artistically influenced by analog and digital media as well as strategies of the communication guerrilla, in particular by the adbusters movement and the cinematic Work of Andrei Arsenjewitsch Tarkowski .
Initially served Tita this manipulation of advertising posters and artistic interventions in which they partly their own bodies for human installation ( German human installation began) ironically as an object. Tita does not make a purely bold, political statement, but instead, in the sense of the expanded concept of art, puts familiar scenarios and situations in a new light through exaggeration or alienation, whereby she frequently changes her means of expression.
