Beuern is a district of the municipality of Greifenberg in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech .
geography
The church village of Beuern is about two kilometers north of Greifenberg.
history
The name Buron can already be traced back to 1052; Beuern was first mentioned in a document in 1230 in a document from Gottschalk Zwiggerl, who bequeathed his court in Beuern to the Dießen monastery . From 1369 to 1420 the Sedelhof was owned by the Greifen von Greifenberg family, who eventually sold it to the Bavarian dukes . Other farms in the village belong to the Lords of Perfall , the Dießen monastery or are without landlords.
In 1725 the parish church was finally rebuilt.
Beuern was an independent municipality until the regional reform . On May 1, 1978 this was dissolved and the municipal parts to Eresing and Greifenberg incorporated.
Attractions
The Catholic parish church of St. Michael is located in Beuern, and was rebuilt in 1725 by Joseph Schmuzer . Only the late Gothic church tower remains from the previous building.
