Białków (German historically Balkow , Lower Sorbian Bołków ) is a village in the rural community Cybinka in the district of Słubice in the Polish voivodeship of Lebus . In 2011 there were 567 residents here. The place is on the road between Cybinka (Ziebingen) and Rąpice (Rampitz), four kilometers south of Cybinka and 26 kilometers southeast of Słubice .
history
The oldest mention is from 1413. Balkow belonged to the von Grünberg family since 1480 , later to the Matthaeus von Wesenbecks family , partly to the von Kalckreuth family , and from 1724 to the von Tauentzien family .
Until the 17th century, Lower Sorbian was also spoken in the village . Since the 19th century Balkow was administratively part of the Weststernberg district in the Frankfurt (Oder) administrative district of the Prussian province of Brandenburg .
Since 1944, 50,000 books, a large part of the holdings of the Secret State Archives Berlin-Dahlem, have been kept ready for use in Schloss Balkow under library supervision.
The place has belonged to Poland since 1945.
