The Biblioteca Nacional de Angola (BNA) in Luanda is the national library of Angola .

The library was founded in 1968 as a branch of the Biblioteca Nacional de Portugal in Lisbon ( Portugal ), but its predecessors have existed since 1938 as part of the National Museum of Angola . Parts of the holdings still come from the legal deposit right from the Portuguese time. The Biblioteca Nacional de Angola was given independent status in 1978 and also the right to deposit copies for Angola.

The library is subordinate to the Ministry of Culture.
