Dantalian no Shoka ( Japanese ダ ン タ リ ア ン の 書架 , Eng . "Dantalians bookshelf"), also known under the subtitle Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian , is a light novel series by the Japanese author Gakuto Mikumo ( Asura Cryin ' , Zettai Karen Children ), which is provided with illustrations by the artist G-Yuusuke.
action
The story is set between the two world wars and takes place in England . Hugh Anthony Disward ( ヒ ュ ー ・ ア ン ソ ニ ー ・ デ ィ ス ワ ー ド ) inherits his grandfather's estate. In the large mansion he finds the entrance to a room with books everywhere. In this room he meets a girl named Dalian ( ダ リ ア ン ). Dalian is the so-called "black book princess " ( Kuro Yomihime ) and represents a portal between the real world and "Dantalians Bibliotheca" (Dantalians library ). Huey (Hugh Anthony Disward) becomes Dalian's "key bearer " ( Kagimori ) and thus also her protector . So-called “phantom books” or “Genshō”, the demon Dantalian, are kept in this library. These books give the reader a superhuman strength, e.g. B. the power to bring the dead to life or the power to absorb all knowledge of the world in oneself.
Throughout history, Dalian and Huey try to find said books in the world, seal them and bring them back to the library. In this endeavor, Dalian and Huey get into trouble because they never know which book they will encounter.

A few days later, the channels TV Aichi , TV Osaka , TV Setouchi , TVQ Kyushu and AT began -X also with the broadcast. In 2012 the OVA Dantalian no Shoka: Ibrahime was published . The OVA lasts about 24 minutes and tells a side story . The OVA is dealing with another case that Huey (Hugh Anthony Disward) and Dalian want to clear up. The process is very similar to the cases in the anime series.
