The Bichleralmbach is a stream in the municipality of St. Veit in Defereggen ( Lienz district ). The stream rises at the Bichleralm in the Villgraten mountains and flows east of the village of Plon into the Schwarzach .

course

The Bichleralmbach rises in the area of the southern part of the Bichleralm between Penzenkopf in the north, Röte in the southwest, Gagenhöhe in the south and Zeigerle in the southeast. To the west are the Kleinitzer Almbach and the Laschkitzenbach , to the east the Zwenewaldbach . From its headwaters, the Bichleralmbach flows northeast, where it passes below the huts of the Bichleralm to the north and then reaches the tree line at around 1,780 meters above sea level. After around 400 meters of flowing, the Bichleralm reaches closed forest areas through which it strives towards the Defereggental . The Bichleralmbach overcomes two waterfalls in the lower reaches and enters the Defereggental opposite the village of Plon. However, it does not flow into the Schwarzach immediately, but flows around 800 meters along the Schwarzach to the east and then flows into it.
