The Bichtenberg is a 400 meter high mountain in the western Wasgau , as the southern part of the Palatinate Forest is also called together with the northern part of the Vosges . The north-west flank is on the district of Lemberg , the south-east flank on that of Dahn . To the north is the Lviv district of Salzwoog . The Salzwooger Teufelstisch is also three kilometers to the west .

The Bichtenberg, made of red sandstone, is completely covered with mixed forest and accessed with several paths and forest roads. It is therefore also possible to climb to the summit by mountain bike.
