Big Order ( Japanese ビ ッ グ オ ー ダ ー , Biggu Ōdā ) is a manga series by Sakae Esuno that was published between September 2011 and August 2016 in Shōnen Ace magazine published by Kadokawa Shoten . Between 2014 and 2017 the series was published in German by Egmont Manga . An anime series aired between April and June 2016, with a pilot episode released in October 2015 . The anime series appears in German-speaking countries on the streaming provider Crunchyroll .

Ten years ago a child wanted the world to be destroyed. After the catastrophe, so-called orders (能力 者オ ー ダ ー, ōdā , literally: "people with special abilities") who have the ability to fulfill their own wishes. One of them has the tremendous potential to rule the world and turn people into his puppets. This power belongs to Hoshimiya Eiji, who is responsible for the destructive phenomenon that occurred 10 years ago.

Eiji has not used this power since then. One day, however, he is forced to remember this power again and use it when he has to defend himself and his sister Sena from the attacks of his classmate Rin Kurenai, also an order. While she is only interested in taking revenge on him for the death of her parents 10 years ago, the Assembly of the Ten, an organization of the Kyushu government for which she works, aims to rule the world. To do this, they pull Eiji on their side by blackmailing him with his sister's life. Because of his ability to physically control everything that is in his territory, including people and objects, Eiji is said to be the king of a new world. At the same time, however, they mistrust him and only let him in on their plans if it suits their tactics.

In the name of Eiji, they declare Kyushu, the seat of the ten, independent and the world at war. As a first step, the Yamaguchi prefecture is to be taken. But the government is also under orders, some of which are radical measures against Eiji and the others ...

Eiji Hoshimiya ( 星 宮 エ イ ジ , Hoshimiya Eiji )
Eiji is an introverted student who is generally disinterested in what is happening around him and who ignores any unrelated issues. In addition, he tends to skip classes whenever he wants. He speaks extremely rarely to his classmates, which is why he is considered socially inept. Apart from that, he also has adult traits, which becomes clear when he falls in love with Rin Kurenai because of her beauty.
However, Eiji has the secret that he is to blame for the devastating phenomenon that took place 10 years ago. He is also responsible for the injuries to his sister Sena, which is his top priority and for whose safety he would be willing to die. Eiji has decided to stop using his power in order not to harm anyone.
Rin Kurenai ( 紅 鈴 , Kurenai Rin )
Rin is an order and works for the government of Dazaifu (cf. historical Dazaifu ), which has administered the Kyushu region since the collapse of the Japanese central government . She is an assassin who is supposed to kill Eiji Hoshimiya. Rin is a courageous and impulsive girl whose goal is to take revenge on Eiji, whom she blames for the death of her parents. She has the ability Rebirth Fire , through which she can heal injuries, both own and others. If it dies, it automatically regenerates, which makes it invulnerable.

Gathering of ten

Raidou Fuwa ( 不 破 雷同 , Fuwa Raidō )
The masked number 1 of the Gathering of Ten has the Sleeping Sheep ability and can end any type of fight instantly.
Benkei Narukami ( 鳴 神 弁 慶 , Narukami Benkei )
Thanks to his ability Aramitama , the number 2 is able to pulverize any object, since it was his desire to become super powerful.
Yoshitsune Hiiragi ( 柊 義 経 , Hiiragi Yoshitsune )
Number 3 is the actual head of the gathering of ten. If something doesn't go according to plan, he can use his ability to explain it as fiction. The background was his desire to escape from reality. For him, Eiji is just a tool, although it plays an important role in his plan.
Iyo ( 壱 与 , Iyo )

Manga

Sakae Esuno started the manga series after Mirai Nikki quit . The first chapter appeared in the 11/2011 issue of the magazine Shōnen Ace of the Kadokawa Shoten publishing house on September 26, 2011. In the 9/2016 issue, the last chapter in the series was published on July 26, 2016; In the following issue of the magazine on August 26, 2016, a final chapter followed as an epilogue . The individual chapters have been summarized in ten edited volumes .

A German version was published in full by Egmont Manga between March 2014 and November 2017 . A French translation has been published by Sakka since August 2013.

By February 2015, the series had sold more than 800,000 copies.

Anime

The limited version of the eighth volume was accompanied by a 25-minute original video animation as a pilot episode for the anime series that will be released on April 16, 2016. This was animated by Studio Asread under the direction of Nobuharu Kamanaka and the character design by Chika Kojima, who was also the animation director. The 10 episodes were shown from April 16 to June 18, 2016 after midnight (and thus on the previous TV day ) on Tokyo MX and KBS Kyōto , as well as on BS11 , Chiba TV , TV Kanagawa , TV Saitama , with an offset of up to one week . The music comes from Evan Call from the band Elements Garden , while the theme song Geki ( ) is from the band Yōsei Teikoku , who also contributed the first theme song to the anime adaptation of Sakae Esuno's manga Mirai Nikki .
