Bihun ( Ukrainian Бігунь ; Russian Бегунь Begun ) is a village in the north of the Ukrainian Oblast Zhytomyr with about 1,600 inhabitants.
The village was founded in 1695 and forms together with the village of Selezivka ( Селезівка ) the district council of the same name in the west of the Ovrutsch district .
It is located 38 km west of Rajonzentrum Ovruch and 128 kilometers north of the Oblastzentrum Zhytomyr near the border to Belarus Rajon Yel'sk on the river Bihun.
By the Chernobyl nuclear disaster which was field radioactive in April 1986 contaminated .
