The Billard Friends Berlin e. V. are a billiard club from Berlin . The club was founded in 2007 as the Snooker Club Berlin and played in the 1st Snooker Bundesliga from 2009 to 2013 .

history

The club was founded on November 5, 2007 as the Snooker Club Berlin . From the 2007/08 season he took part in snooker gaming. In its first season, SC Berlin reached first place in the Oberliga without losing points and made it to the 2nd Bundesliga in the promotion round with wins against BSC Füssen , RSC Gifhorn and PTSV Hof . In the 2008/09 season , the Berliners secured the relegation place on the penultimate matchday by a home win against SC Hamburg, who were already established as season champions . In the relegation they defeated the SC 147 Karlsruhe and the BSC Kissing and rose to the 1st Bundesliga . In the 2009/10 Bundesliga season , SC Berlin started with two home wins, followed by a defeat at Münchner SC on matchday three . On the twelfth match day, the Berliners secured their relegation with a home win against BSV Phönix . In the following season this was achieved on the penultimate matchday with a draw against 1. DSC Hannover . On the last day of the match they fell from third to fourth place after an away defeat against the Barmer Billardfreunde . It was the best final placement of the Berliners in the snooker Bundesliga. In the summer of 2011, the club moved from Kreuzberg to Wilmersdorf and from then on used the Billard Lounge Berlin as a venue.

In the 2011/12 season , SC Berlin finished sixth and defeated the Snooker Club Neu-Ulm 5: 3 in the relegation , whereby the decisive frame was only won on the last black. During the following season , the club remained without a win and only occupied no direct relegation zone on the third match day. The relegation of the Berliners was determined after a 3-5 home defeat against SC 147 Essen on the thirteenth match day. In 2013 the Snooker Club Berlin was renamed Billard Freunde Berlin . In the 2013/14 season , the club was fourth in the second division. A year later they finished eighth with just one point and were relegated to the top division. From 2015 the first snooker team, like the other teams of the club since 2014, played in the billiard center PView Billard & Events in Berlin-Lankwitz . After the league season 2015/16, in which they finished fourth, the snooker team was logged off from play.

Second team

From the 2008/09 season the Snooker Club Berlin announced two more snooker teams. In the Oberliga 2009/10, in which three other teams from the club also took part, the second team was Berlin champions with only one defeat this season. Then she prevailed in the promotion round and rose to the 2nd Bundesliga . In the 2010/11 season , the Berlin team secured relegation on the last match day with a 7-1 home win against the second team of Barmer Billardfreunde . For the following season, however, the SC Berlin pulled the team back to the league. In 2013 the fourth team of the Berlin club became champions and the second runner-up. However, since the first team was relegated to the second division this season, the teams were not eligible for promotion. For the following season the fourth team was canceled and after the 2014/15 season the second and third snooker team of Billard Freunde Berlin.

Pool

The Snooker Club Berlin took part in pool games from 2008. In the 2008/09 season he reached unbeaten first place in the district league A. Also in the following three seasons he reached first place and rose to the top division. In the Oberliga 2012/13 they finished seventh. After the Billard Freunde Berlin had not reported a pool team in the 2013/14 season, they played in the district class from 2014. In the 2015/16 season, the club reached first place undefeated and rose to the district league.
