Billy Wulff (* 1971 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) is a German radio presenter at MDR Saxony-Anhalt .

Life

Billy Wulff graduated from high school in 1989 and then studied pop and jazz singing at the Weimar Academy of Music . In addition, she passed her state examination for teaching music at grammar schools and studied geography at the University of Jena . For several years she was u. a. Singer and front woman of the bands Rest of Best and the Chris Genteman Group. She has appeared on stages across Germany and abroad, including in Spain, Austria and the USA. She had a guest engagement at the Rudolstadt Theater for several years.

She began her radio career in 2001 at the national private broadcaster Antenne Thüringen , where she presented the morning show together with Jens May . She presented her own programs such as “Die Rockhits” and the children's program “Radio-Stars”. At events such as the Antenne Thüringen Beach Party and the Krämerbrückenfest , she appeared as the lead singer of the Antenne Thüringen Allstars, a band of employees of the station.

From 2006 she presented the morning show on Radio PSR together with Steffen Lukas , and from 2009 on together with Holger Tapper on the morning show on Radio Brocken. For Radio Brocken she appeared as a presenter and singer at events, including the VR Star Arena 2009 with 25,000 spectators.

Billy Wulff has been part of the team of moderators at MDR Saxony-Anhalt since 2011. She moderated in the evening before and in the morning. Since 2016, she has been presenting the afternoon program from 2–7 pm, alternating every two weeks. In addition, she alternates between the morning broadcast of MDR Sachsen-Anhalt on Sunday. For the MDR, Billy Wulff moderated events such as the MDR Harz Open Air, the MDR Burgenland Open Air, the MDR Summer Tour 2013 in Burg, the MDR Oldiemarathon 2013 and the MDR Kultnacht 2017 as well as the Saxony-Anhalt Day several times .
