The Saxony-Anhalt Day is the official national festival and the largest folk festival in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt . It takes place every year in a different Saxony-Anhalt city.

In 2015, the Saxony-Anhalt Day in Köthen (Anhalt) was attended by 160,000 people. The festival cost 673,000 euros, in contrast to income of 646,000 euros. The city of Köthen contributed EUR 27,400 of the difference, the rest sponsors and the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

With the resolution of the State Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt in January 2017, it was determined that the Saxony-Anhalt Day will only take place every two years in future. On the one hand, the municipalities that organize the event are to be relieved of financial pressure, on the other hand, they have a longer preparation time. Due to the celebrations for the Day of German Unity in Saxony-Anhalt in 2021, after the Saxony-Anhalt Day 2019 in Quedlinburg, the next state festival will not take place until 2022 in Stendal, which will then be held for the second time.
