Venues of the MV day

The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern tag (also MV-day ) is the official national festival , which since 2000 in various cities of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is celebrated.

The event took place annually from 2000 to 2006. A two-year cycle began with the MV day in Ludwigslust in 2006. While eight MV days took place in western Mecklenburg, including two each in Güstrow and Rostock, there were five state festivals in Western Pomerania and the Mecklenburg Lake District.

On August 14th and 15th, 2010, the MV day took place under the motto: "MV is good." Celebrated at the same time as the 20th anniversary of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, which was founded in 1990.

In 2018, the MV day took place in Rostock from May 18 to 20, at the same time as the 800th anniversary of the Hanseatic city and the 600th anniversary of the University of Rostock .

According to State Chancellery chief Reinhard Meyer (SPD), the MV day in Greifswald, originally planned for 2020, should be the first of its kind to be held in a climate-neutral manner. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , it has been postponed to 2021.
