Binnrot is located on the Rot and borders in the south on Eichenberg , in the west on Edenbachen, in the north on Bechtenrot and in the east on Bonlanden . It forms together with Waldenhofen a 165 ha large Gemarkungs exclave under the administration of Kirchdorf an der Iller. The place stretches from the Bonlanden monastery along a sloping floodplain to the Rot and is characterized by agriculture . There is a privately operated run-of-river power plant on the Rot .
