Oberopfingen is a part of the municipality of Kirchdorf an der Iller in the Biberach district in Upper Swabia .

The community is located on the Iller and the state road 300. To the south the place has a common border with Tannheim , to the west with Berkheim and to the east it borders on Heimertingen in the Unterallgäu district .

The Illerkanal flows through the area around the town in a north-south direction , crosses Europastraße 43 / Bundesautobahn 7 and Bundesstraße 312 . The B 312 passes the motorway feeder and joins the federal highway 300 in the area of ​​the administrative district of Swabia .

History and Buildings
