Birky ( Ukrainian Бірки ) is a village in the Ukrainian Lviv Oblast with about 2200 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded at the end of the 18th century, was called Birky Dominikanski ( Бірки Домініканські ) until 1947 and then Birky .
Birky is the administrative center of the 19.96 km² district council in the east of Jaworiw Rajon , which includes the villages of Rokytne ( Рокитне , ⊙ ) with about 250 inhabitants and Dibrowa ( Діброва , ⊙ ) with about 40 inhabitants.
The village is located at an altitude of 292 m on the bank of the Mlynivka ( Млинівка ), a 12 km long tributary of the Kapeliwka ( Western Bug ), 45 km east of the Jaworiw district center and 13 km northwest of the Lviv oblast center . The urban-type settlement Brjuchowytschi borders the village in the southeast.
Territorial road T-14-14 runs through the village .
