The Diocese of Bareilly ( Latin : Dioecesis Bareillensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese in India . It is a suffragan diocese of the Archdiocese of Agra .
history
The Diocese of Bareilly was established on January 19, 1989 from areas of the Diocese of Lucknow . The first bishop was Anthony Fernandes from 1989 to 2014 . On July 11, 2014, Ignatius D'Souza was appointed as his successor.
