The Bistum Byumba ( lat. : Dioecesis Byumbanus ) is in Rwanda preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Byumba .

history

The Byumba diocese was established on November 5, 1981 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Quandoquidem experientia from ceding territories of the Kabgayi , Kibungo and Ruhengeri dioceses and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Kigali as a suffragan diocese.
