The Bistum Goaso ( lat. : Dioecesis Goasonensis ) is an in Ghana preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Goaso .

history

The Diocese of Goaso was established on October 24, 1997 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Ad aptius from cessions of territory from the Diocese of Sunyani and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Cape Coast as a suffragan . The first bishop was Peter Kwaku Atuahene .

The Diocese of Goaso was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Kumasi as a suffragan on January 17, 2002 .
