The diocese of Gwalior ( Latin : Dioecesis Gwaliorensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese . It is a suffragan diocese of the Archdiocese of Bhopal .
history
The diocese was established on February 9, 1999 by Pope John Paul II from cession of the diocese of Jhansi . The first bishop was Joseph Kaithathara .
