The Bistum Ifakara ( lat. : Dioecesis Ifakarensis ) is an in Tanzania preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Ifakara .

history

The diocese Ifakara was on January 14, 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI. Erected with the Apostolic Constitution Nuper est petitum from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Mahenge and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam as a suffragan . First Bishop was Salutaris Melchior Libena .
