The Roman Catholic Diocese of Impfondo ( Latin Dioecesis Impfondensis , French Diocèse d'Impfondo ) is in the Republic of Congo situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Impfondo . It includes the Likouala department .
history
Pope John Paul II founded the Apostolic Prefecture Likouala with the Apostolic Constitution De universa catholica on October 30, 2000 from cession of territory by the Diocese of Ouesso .
On February 11, 2011, she was raised to the diocese and took the name Impfondo. The first diocesan bishop was Jean Gardin CSSp until December 2019 .
On May 30, 2020, Pope Francis made the diocese Impfondo subordinate to the Archdiocese of Owando as a suffragan.
