The Roman Catholic Diocese of Ouesso ( Latin Dioecesis Uessitana , French Diocèse de Ouesso ) is in the Republic of Congo situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Ouesso .
history
The diocese of Ouesso was established on June 6, 1983 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Ad expeditiorem from cessions of territory from the diocese of Owando and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Brazzaville as a suffragan . The Diocese of Ouesso gave up on October 30, 2000 parts of its territory to establish the Apostolic Prefecture Likouala .
On May 30, 2020, Pope Francis made the diocese of Ouesso subject to the Archdiocese of Owando as a suffragan.
