The Diocese of Kara ( Latin Dioecesis Karaënsis ) is a diocese in Togo , the bishopric is Kara . The diocese covers 10,590 km² and has 878,500 inhabitants, of which approx. 13% are Roman Catholic. In 2016, 75 diocesan priests and 27 religious priests worked in the 35 parishes of the archdiocese . The diocese was divided on July 1, 1994 from the diocese of Sokodé .
