The Diocese of Montenegro ( lat. : Dioecesis Nigromontana ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Montenegro in the state of Rio Grande do Sul .

history

The diocese of Montenegro was founded on July 2, 2008 by Pope Benedict XVI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Pastorali Nostra navitate from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Porto Alegre and subordinated to this as a suffragan diocese.
