The diocese of Xichang ( Latin : Dioecesis Nimiuenensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese that has been vacant for over 50 years and is based in Xichang in the People's Republic of China .

history

Pope Pius X. founded the Apostolic Prefecture Siangyang with the Breve Ex hac on August 12, 1910 from cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate of South Sichuan . On December 3, 1924, it took the name, Vicariate Apostolic Ningyüanfu .

With the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos she was raised to the diocese on April 11, 1946.
