Bishopric of Saint Malo
The diocese of Saint-Malo ( lat. : Dioecesis Macloviensis ) was one in France situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Saint-Malo .
history
The diocese of Saint-Malo was established as the diocese of Aleth in the 6th or 7th century . The first bishop was Aaron . In 1146 the bishopric was moved from Aleth to Saint-Malo, but remained subordinate to the Archdiocese of Tours as a suffragan .
On November 29, 1801 , the diocese of Saint-Malo was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the papal bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the dioceses of Rennes , Saint-Brieuc and Vannes .
