The Diocese of Salgueiro ( Latin Dioecesis Salicensis , Portuguese Diocese de Salgueiro ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Salgueiro in the state of Pernambuco .

history

The diocese of Salgueiro was founded on June 16, 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Valde sollicitus from cessions of territory of the dioceses Floresta and Petrolina and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Olinda e Recife as a suffragan . The first bishop was Magnus Henrique Lopes, OFMCap .
