The diocese Shaoguan (Chaozhou) ( lat. : Dioecesis Sciaoceuvensis ) is in the People's Republic of China Located Roman Catholic diocese based in Chaozhou .

history

The Diocese of Chaozhou was on April 9, 1920 by Pope Benedict XV. established with the Apostolic Constitution Cum opitulante from the cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Canton as Apostolic Vicariate Siuchow .

The Apostolic Vicariate Siuchow was on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. raised to a diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Canton as a suffragan .
