history

The diocese of Tricarico was established in 968 as a diocese of the Byzantine Rite . In 1060 it changed to the Roman Rite .

The Diocese of Tricarico is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Potenza-Muro Lucano-Marsico Nuovo as a suffragan .
