The Roman Catholic Diocese of Tursi-Lagonegro ( lat. : Dioecesis Tursiensis-Lacunerulonensis , ital. : Diocese of Tursi-Lagonegro ) is in Italy situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Tursi .

history

The diocese of Tursi- Lagonegro was established in the 11th century as the diocese of Anglona . In 1068 which was Diocese of Anglona by Pope Alexander II. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Acerenza as suffragan assumed. The bishopric was moved from Anglona to Tursi in 1110 .

On August 8, 1545, the Anglona diocese was renamed the Anglona-Tursi diocese . The diocese of Anglona-Tursi was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Potenza-Muro Lucano-Marsico Nuovo as a suffragan on August 21, 1976 and renamed the Diocese of Tursi-Lagonegro on September 8 of the same year .
