The Diocese of Tzaneen ( lat. : Dioecesis Tzaneensis ) is in South Africa situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Tzaneen .
history
Pope John XXIII founded the Apostolic Prefecture Louis Trichardt with the Apostolic Constitution Christi mandatum on December 27, 1962 from cessions of territory by the Pietersburg Territorial Abbey .
On November 16, 1972, Paul VI raised them . with the Apostolic Constitution Christi iussum to the diocese, which took the name Louis Trichardt-Tzaneen. On July 18, 1987, it took on its current name.
