The diocese of Udupi ( lat. : Dioecesis Udupiensis ) is in India situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Udupi . It includes the district Udupi in the state of Karnataka .

history

Pope Benedict XVI founded it on July 16, 2012 with the cession of territory by the Diocese of Mangalore . The first local ordinary is Gerald Isaac Lobo.
