Björn-Arne Alber (born April 12, 1981 in Bietigheim-Bissingen ) is a German volleyball coach and former player.

Career

Alber was trained in the volleyball boarding school in Frankfurt . He then played with the VfB Friedrichshafen youth team in the second division . In 2002 the player came to the Bundesliga club evivo Düren . With him, Düren was runner-up three times from 2005 to 2007. In 2007 Alber's active career as a player ended. When his former teammate Sven Anton became the Dürener's new head coach in 2008, Alber took on the role of assistant. Two years later he wanted to reorient himself after completing his studies, but finally extended his contract. Even after Söhnke Hinz signed on in the summer of 2011, he remains an assistant coach in Düren.
