Björn Linda (born April 30, 1989 in Oberhausen ) is a German ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with Herner EV in the Oberliga Nord since November 2018 .

Career

Björn Linda began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of DEG Metro Stars , for which he was active in the German youth league for the first time in the 2006/07 season and at the same time made his first appearances for the German U-18 national team.

The goalkeeper then played for the second team of the DEG Metro Stars in the fourth-class ice hockey regional league for two years before spending the 2009/10 season at Herner EV in the ice hockey league .

For the 2010/11 season Linda was signed by the Kölner Haien from the German Ice Hockey League , for which he made his DEL debut on September 12, 2010 when he was substituted on in the 2-7 away defeat at Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg . On October 22, 2010 he received a license for EV Duisburg from the Oberliga West. A year later he moved permanently to EV Duisburg and received a funding license for the Düsseldorfer EG for the 2012/13 season, for which he played a few games.

In 2012, he won the election of Duisburg's Sportsman of the Year .

In the 2013/14 season, Linda ran for the Löwen Frankfurt in the Oberliga West and received the award as the best goalkeeper in the league after the season. After a short interlude with his home club Dinslaken Kobras at the beginning of the 2014/15 season, he moved back to the Oberliga West in January 2015, joined the EHC Neuwied and signed for two and a half seasons.

After the EHC Neuwied filed for insolvency, Linda moved to the Oberliga Süd at EHC Waldkraiburg . With strong performances, he recommended himself for a commitment to the Hannover Scorpions for the 2017/2018 season.

Linda has been under contract for Deggendorfer SC in DEL2 since August 2018 .
