Björn Ove "Speed" Strid (born September 10, 1978 ) is a Swedish singer who is active in several bands and projects. His best-known contributions are Soilwork , Terror 2000 , Disarmonia Mundi , Coldseed and The Night Flight Orchestra . His singing can also be heard on a demo album by Darkane . What is striking about his singing is his ability to quickly switch between deep growls , high screams and clear vocals. The Swede got his nickname from classmates because of his preference for fast and heavy metal music .
