Demon Hunter is a Christian metalcore band from Seattle , Washington, USA .
history
Demon Hunter was founded by the brothers Ryan ( vocals , guitar , bass ) and Don Clark (guitar, bass ). Together with Jesse Sprinkle ( drums ) they released their debut album Demon Hunter in October 2002 on Solid State Records .
During their first tour with Extol and The Agony Scene they took Jon Dunn ( bass ) into the band and were additionally supported during the tour by Kris McCaddon ( guitar ).
On May 4, 2004, they released their second album, Summer of Darkness . This had great success; Among other things, the music video for Not Ready to Die was shown on MTV2 and the single My Heartstrings Come Undone became part of the Resident Evil: Apocalypse soundtrack. There were four guest singers on this album: Mike Williams from The Agony Scene , Howard Jones from Killswitch Engage , Brock Lindow from 36 Crazyfists and Trevor McNevan from Thousand Foot Krutch .
During the following tour with Dead Poetic and Haste the Day , Tim "Yogi" Watts represented Jesse Sprinkle on drums and finally replaced him permanently on the recordings for The Triptych in 2005 because he switched to Dead Poetic. In addition, Kris McCaddon was replaced by Ethan Luck ( The OC Supertones , The Dingees ). The Triptych was even more successful than the previous album. For the first single Undying , a video was also released, directed by Chris Simms ( As I Lay Dying , Lamb of God , Zao ).
