Black Space Riders is a band from Münster that has existed since 2008 and describes their music as "New Wave Of Heavy Psychedelic Space Rock".

history

The Black Space Riders was founded in 2008 by singer JE and drummer CRIP. Both played in the Münster band "Nuts 4 Guts", which was founded in 1989 and which were active until 2004. Together with the guitarist SLI and the bassist SAQ, the first band line-up was completed in November 2010. Before the recordings for Light is the new black , SEB joined the band and was fully integrated as the second singer on the 2014 album D: REI . The band has recorded five studio albums and one EP. The studio album Refugeum was voted sixth in the category “Top Metal Album of the Year 2015” by the online music service Rhapsody , and the magazine eclipsed chose the album in the Top 10 of 2015.

style

The band's musical style has changed steadily since they were founded in 2008. At the beginning guitar walls, rhythm and atmosphere dominated. "Musically, the result is a powerful brew of psychedelic Doom-Space-Rock with a portion of old-school-metal." The following albums by the Black Space Riders show more and more musical influences. In addition to progressive rock and wave , the 2016 EP Beyond Refugeum also features electronic, drone and techno in the music for the first time . On the 2018 album " Amoretum Vol.1 " the electronic elements were taken back, "... the focus is clearly on the elements" Heavy "and" Rock ".
