The Blackberry Q10 (spelling: BlackBerry Q10 ) is a smartphone from the Canadian manufacturer Blackberry . The device was first presented on January 30, 2013 together with the Z10 . Compared to the previous model, the Bold 9900 , Blackberry did without the control bar below the touchscreen and the curved keyboard. Blackberry 10 is the standard operating system . Chancellor Angela Merkel uses an encrypted Q10 as a work phone.

The system can be navigated using a touchscreen . Text is entered using the full QWERTY keyboard, which was already used in the Bold and Curve model series . Above the screen there is a hardware button to lock or unlock the device.
