The Blanche is a river in France that runs in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . It rises in the municipality of Seyne , generally drains in a north-westerly direction and flows after 30 kilometers at the hamlet of Chaussetive , in the municipality of La Bréole, as a left tributary into the Durance , which is dammed up again just below the Barrage de Serre-Ponçon to create water Power station channel of the EDF .

In its lower reaches, the Blanche largely forms the border with the neighboring Hautes-Alpes department .
