La Bréole is a village and a former French community with 371 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belonged to the canton of Barcelonnette in the arrondissement of Barcelonnette . The residents call themselves the Bréolais .
With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of La Bréole and Saint-Vincent-les-Forts were merged to form a Commune nouvelle called Ubaye-Serre-Ponçon and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in La Bréole.

La Bréole is located in the French Maritime Alps on the south bank of Lac de Serre-Ponçon and another reservoir on the Durance River . The opposite parishes were Rousset and Le Sauze-du-Lac . The municipality of La Bréole also bordered
- Saint-Vincent-les-Forts to the east,
- Montclar in the southeast,
- Selonnet in the south,
- Bréziers in the west,
- Rochebrune and Espinasses (point of contact) in the northwest.
