The Blecksteinhaus is 1022 m above sea level. NHN Höhe in the Bavarian Prealps south of the Spitzingsee and is a good starting point for hikes in the Tegernsee and Schlierseer mountains as well as in the neighboring Tyrol . The lodge is owned by the section men gymnastics club Munich of the DAV .
