Blel Kadri (born September 3, 1986 in Bordeaux ) is a French cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2004, Blel Kadri won the overall rankings of the two junior races Tour de Lorraine and Lower Saxony Tour . At the French championship, he finished third in the junior class in the time trial and second in the road race. In 2007 he was third in the U23 road race of the national championship.

In the 2008 season, Kadri won a stage at the Ronde de l'Isard d'Ariège and was second overall. In the Kreiz Breizh Elites stage race , he was successful on the last section and was able to win the overall standings. For 2009 he signed a professional contract with the French ProTeam Ag2r La Mondiale , where he already drove as a stagiaire in 2008 . His first success as a professional was on the first part of the second stage of the French stage race Route du Sud , which takes place in the area in which he grew up.

In March 2013 he won the Italian semi-classic Roma Maxima after a solo ride. Also after a long solo flight Kadri won by the Vosges leading eighth stage of the 2014 Tour de France with 2:17 minutes ahead of Alberto Contador .

In 2016, Kadrie's contract with Ag2r La Mondiale was not renewed after nine years on the team, as no further successes had followed after his stage win on the Tour, and he ended his cycling career.
